Our Bios

Mike KnappMike Knapp has spent his life discovering how the Bible shapes our experience of God and understanding of life. His gift and goal of teaching for life change helps others explore an awareness of God, themselves in relation to God, and their purpose and place in the world.  He creates a casual, safe atmosphere that invites people to grapple with the most profound questions surrounding their lives.

At the age of 11, Mike taught from the Bible for the first time.  He came home from playing outdoors one Wednesday evening, too late to get cleaned up for church, and was left outside on the church’s large front steps.  He obtained permission from some of the other parents for their kids to stay outside with him that pleasant summer evening, and so gained his first experience in leading and teaching others about Christ.  Fortunately, he now makes sure to give himself enough time to get cleaned up for church.

Throughout his 24 years of ministry, he has occasionally found other ways to learn and to serve, such as adding a part-time secondary career in the music industry.  An accomplished musician, Mike has had the opportunity to travel across the country doing concerts, to start and run a recording studio, and to witness a renowned music star’s travel bus burn to the ground!

As a spiritual leadership Coach, he moves others toward fulfilling the vision God has placed in their hearts.  He is currently certified with CoachNet, which is the premiere biblically based coach training in North America.

In his roles as church planter, leader, coach, Bible teacher and musician, his life’s work is to help more and more people know and follow Christ.

Your website does not mention anything about children. Do you have any children’s programs during the service?

  2. Mike Knapp says:

Hi Angie. Yes, we do offer a program for children on Sunday A.M.
