Community Groups
At Lake Hills, we don’t want to be a church with small groups; we want to become a church of small groups. In other words, we take connection in a small group setting so seriously that we believe more often happens there to help people than typically does in the larger group on Sunday mornings. We believe that in community and building friendships is where we learn and grow the most, sharing with one another, giving and receiving mutual help and encouragement.
We are currently offering our community groups in seasons, where we meet for a period and then are off for a while. We are working toward having some groups available any time. Our Winter Community groups are forming now, beginning the week of January 14, 2013.
Most of our groups use a very simple format used often in historic Christianity. Some time is spent simply getting to know one another and talking with one another about our spiritual life, questions, struggles and needs. The groups include simple discussion questions, the goal being to form spiritual friendships and encouragement systems, as well as to explore and experience the Bible in community. We hope you will consider getting connected.
