How To Be Magnetic & Attractive

One look at me and one may wonder what could possibly possess me to think I could write about being, of all things, magnetic and attractive.  Fortunately, there is a deeper magnetism available to all of us.

This near-magical quality is available to all of Jesus’ followers. One way we become more magnetic and attractive  (like Jesus) is through “acceptance”.  We humans feel drawn toward acceptance.  We are usually pulled into relationship by acceptance.  You see, your heart goes where acceptance is.

God says, “Therefore, accept each other just as Christ has accepted you so that God will be given glory.” (Romans 15:7 NLT) What happens when you turn a magnet the other way?  You got it… repulsion, or rejection.  The polar opposite of acceptance is rejection.  If you want to live with a magnetism about your life, simply practice being accepting of others. According to this verse acceptance is to be offered in the same way Christ has accepted you, and because He has accepted you.

If you struggle with this, remember that acceptance of others does not necessarily mean approval.  It does not mean you turn a blind eye to obvious wrongdoing and injustice as defined in God’s Word, the Bible.  It does mean that you become inviting of others into your life, you make them feel important and you seek to include them.  It means you choose not to be critical or judgmental, which creates that opposite quality, rejection. God asks us to be “acceptance-magnets”.  I don’t know about you, but I’m all for something that helps me be more genuinely attractive!
